Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 1, 2025

BeatPass LLC ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

Information you provide

  • Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), profile picture.
  • Purchase data: billing address, payment method details (handled by our payment processors — we never store full card numbers).
  • Communications: messages you send to our support team.

Information collected automatically

  • Device & browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL.
  • Usage data: pages visited, events viewed, tickets purchased, time spent on pages.
  • Location data: approximate geolocation (city/country) derived from your IP address, and precise location only if you grant browser permission for "events near you" functionality.

Information from third parties

  • If you sign in via Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers.
  • Payment processors (Stripe, MercadoPago, PayPal) may share transaction confirmation details with us.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To process ticket purchases and deliver QR-coded tickets.
  • To send transactional emails (order confirmations, QR delivery, event reminders).
  • To calculate and credit promoter commissions to BeatWallet.
  • To show personalized event recommendations based on your location and browsing history.
  • To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Sharing of Information

We share your data only in the following circumstances:

  • Payment processors: Stripe, MercadoPago, and PayPal receive payment information to process transactions. Each provider has its own privacy policy.
  • Event organizers: organizers receive the name and email of attendees who purchased tickets for their events, strictly for check-in and event management purposes.
  • Service providers: cloud hosting, email delivery, and analytics tools that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your language and currency preferences, and analyze platform usage. See our Cookie Policy for full details and opt-out options.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Purchase records are kept for 7 years to comply with accounting and tax regulations. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Your Rights below), though some data may be retained for legal compliance.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: request that we delete your account and associated data.
  • Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
  • Restriction: request that we restrict processing in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at noreply@raverpass.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption for data in transit, bcrypt hashing for passwords, and access controls limiting who can view personal data internally. No system is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

8. Children's Privacy

RaverPass is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform.
